Race 6 & 7 Recap: What a Great Weekend of Racing!!!!!

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023

We very much enjoyed watching the fantastic racing from everyone. The competition was very tight but mostly clean. There were very few on track issues to contend with, and it didn’t hurt that the weather cooperated for a change!!!

It was a smooth, stress-free event on all fronts. All drivers were on the grid on time and ready to go. There were very few on-track pick ups to make. Plus we were able to end a little early both days giving everyone extra time to relax. We want to thank everyone for the fantastic job!!!!!

Up next is the last points race of the season on September 16th. Some championships are settled already while others are close and will come down to the wire. The points will be updated and registration will open very soon.

Stay tuned also for further details to be announced for the 2nd Annual Endro October 7th. As discussed at the drivers meeting, there will be a 2-hour Junior 206 race in the morning. (2-driver teams only. No solo racers.) Then in the afternoon we will then run a 4-hour race for Senior 206 and World Formula Heavy. drivers in each class. No solo’s. (2-3 driver teams. No solo racers.) Morning practice will be limited, but there will be enough sessions for all driver combinations as well as pit stop practice. We will also share base gearing so everyone can be in the ballpark.

Kartmania Wrap-Up and Onward to the
Race 6 & 7 Doubleheader Weekend

Tuesday, July 25th, 2023

We are certainly being challenged by the weather this season… and mostly getting our butts kicked. But our racers, families, mechanics and friends are resilient at the very least. We want to thank everyone at Kartmainia on Saturday for your patience and understanding to make for a great race day, if not weekend as planned.

After having to cancel Sunday we have issued credits to those who entered. When you sign up for the next event you can apply your credit to your total cart amount when you checkout on BikeReg. The credit will be good throughout the remainder of this season to use for Race 6, 7 or 8. If you registered another way we will credit or refund accordingly.

Our Saturday night cookout and party was well attended and we were happy to serve some BBQ, burgers, and desserts. Thank you all who contributed to the festivities. It was also great to see Cruise LaBrie and his dad Andre. Cruise is healing quite well and is looking great. We all appreciate you guys reconnecting and spending the day with us.

The points will be updated shortly. There are some minor corrections to make through Race 4 in addition to adding Race 5’s results.

Registration for the Race 6 and 7 weekend will begin on Wednesday July 26 at 6pm at www.BikeReg.com/NHKA The deadline will be midnight August 15. There will be a normal points races each day.

Here is the Final Update

Thursday, July 13th, 2023

The weather looks iffy at best, but we are committed to running the full course as of now. Clockwise. However, please be aware that we will not practice or race on the full course if it is wet and that we will make whatever adjustments needed to get in all the practice and races.

We’ll just have to wait to see what the skies bring us Saturday morning. There are a couple of possible scenarios if there is precipitation. We can either wait it out until it dries, or we can switch to Half Track 1. Obviously we’ll all keep an eye on our superphone weather predictors, but we won’t know for sure until Saturday morning.

Some reminders: ALL drivers, mechanics, owners, helpers, moms, dads, cousins, aunts, uncles or any other guests MUST be wearing a pit pass wristband purchased at the gate. NO ONE is allowed past the gate without one!!! If you are hosting any guests please make sure everyone in your group has a wristband. NO EXCEPTIONS.Two-day pit passes are $25 per person, cash only at the gate. One-day pit passes for Sunday only are $15 per person.

Absolutely no racing engines may be started on Friday night. No engines may be started before the drivers meeting on Saturday morning.

We have enough food donations for the Saturday night party!!! Thank you to all who volunteered to cook. NHKA will supply pulled pork and chicken along with rolls and mac and cheese. We will also grill up burgers and dogs and have chips and salsa on hand for those who are extra hungry. We will also set up some cornhole boards for some “friendly” game time. Plus there’ll be 50/50 raffle tickets available throughout the weekend to benefit the Friends of Mascoma Foundation, a food pantry based right in Canaan Center.

Sunday, July 9th, 2023

We have a special treat for all of you for our Saturday night party. We are bringing in some fantastic BBQ from a local vendor. There’ll be pulled pork and pulled chicken with rolls and condiments plus a big tray of mac and cheese.

As always we invite our members bring your favorite summertime dishes to share. There are always lots of outstanding family recipe to enjoy. We love them all and we love your participation. So if you want to bring Grandma’s secret slaw (desserts and drinks are always welcome too!) please let us know via a quick email to [email protected]

Oh yeah, there’ll be racing too! We’ll be on the full road course for the only time this season, running clockwise with the chicane. Practice and qualifying Saturday and NHKA Race 5 on Sunday. Plus there are still a few slots available in the NHKA Karting Safety Course which will be run as a practice group Saturday. Most importantly, if you haven’t registered yet, do it now! The deadline is Tuesday July 11 at midnight. You definitely don’t want to miss out! www.BikeReg.com/NHKA

Race 3 & 4 Recap: Rain and Amazing Racing!

Friday, June 23rd, 2023

While our Saturday did not go as planned, it certainly went as forecasted. All the weather apps were calling for 1.5” to fall. We were pleasantly surprised to get in as many finals as we did. Unfortunately the last 3 races of the day didn’t happen so those drivers were awarded race points for their qualifying positions. When all was said and done the drivers did a great job with the conditions. A special shout out to all the friends, families and mechanics who stuck it out and worked their butts off!!!! We also want to thank our trusty corner workers for a busy day flagging. And also our master photographer Ken Repke who got some great shots.

On Sunday, close battles and great racing across all classes more than made up for Saturday’s tough conditions. Congratulations to all drivers, especially the Briggs 206 Juniors who put on a thrill show.

Thank you once again to everyone who made it a great weekend. We’re already looking forward to Kartmania 7!
