Huge Fields Set for NHKA Race 1 at Canaan Motor Club

Race 1 at Canaan Motor Club is almost here! Please take a few minutes to review the full schedule, race order, important reminders, and track information below before arriving this weekend.

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

FRIDAY
5:00 PM – Gates Open (No Early Arrivals)
• Camping, pit setup, and safety tech available

8:00 PM – Gates Close
• No entry permitted after this time

SATURDAY SCHEDULE
6:30 AM – Gates Open
• Spectator entry will close at 12:00 PM
• Please enter through the main gate with the NHKA sign

8:30 AM – Mandatory Drivers Meeting

8:45 AM – New Drivers Safety Course Meeting
• Kid Karts report to grid

9:00 AM – Karts On Track

RACE FORMAT
• 2 rounds of practice
• Qualifying
• Kid Kart trophies presented at the start of the lunch break
• Final races to follow

To help maximize track time and keep the program running efficiently, classes may be combined if necessary.

Please note: Race order may be adjusted if necessary throughout the day.

NEW MEMBERS
At check-in, you will receive:
• Pit Pass
• One Grid Pass per driver
• Steering wheel sign-in band
• Transponder (if renting)

Please remember that all karts must pass safety tech before entering the track.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
• PLEASE make sure all transponders are fully charged
• A safety check sheet will be included in your race envelope and must be completed and signed before tech inspection
• Please bring helmets to safety check if they have not already been inspected
• LeConte tires are required for all racers
• All 206 karts must run World Formula mufflers
• Kart numbers must be clearly visible on all 4 sides of the kart
• Only 1 helper allowed on grid per racer
• Spectator areas will be separated from pit areas
• No bikes, scooters, or wheeled recreational items permitted
• NO ALCOHOL while the track is hot
• No campfires permitted
• Please respect the property we have the privilege to race at
• Please take all trash, used tires, and fuel containers with you when leaving
• Leave your pit area clean at the end of the event

We are expecting a large turnout for Race 1. Please be courteous and mindful when parking and setting up trailers, tents, and pit areas so we can make the best use of available space for everyone attending.

PIT PASS PRICING — CASH ONLY
Adults – $20
Children 12 & Under – $15
Overnight Camping – $25

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• No concessions will be available on site — please plan accordingly
• Guests and spectators should bring their own chairs, food, and drinks
• A local market/deli/store is located just down the road from the track
