Yes, we are practicing this Saturday.
No, there is nothing we can do about the weather.

Now that we’ve answered the two biggest questions, I will add that the forecast for the first part of the day is pretty good. If there are showers, it appears they’ll hold off until later in the afternoon. This should give us a window of time to get in some sessions on a dry track. And if we’re already up and running in the dry, we will keep going in the rain for those crazy enough to go out there. (This is a practice day.) And if you have rain tires other than LeCont, this would be the perfect opportunity to burn through them.

There will be no official scoring or racing, so transponders are not required. However, we will be testing the new Orbits/Mylaps update, which includes live race day scoring. So if you have your own transponder, charge it up and bring it to help us work out any kinks.

Registration is closed. We will not accept race day registrations.

All registered drivers will have a pit pass waiting for them. All other attendees must purchase a pit pass at the gate. Pit pass sales are cash or check only. NO credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, yellow cards, post cards, etc. All guests must wear their pit pass all day.

We will have 17 new drivers joining us. Let’s make them feel welcome. Please introduce yourself, share your know-how, and help them have a great first day at the track. They will all start off in the Karting Safety Course, which will be its own group in the rotation. They will be moved into their respective classes throughout the day.

Friday Night:
5pm Gate opens for trailer drop off, camping, pit set up, and kart safety inspection.
8pm Gate closes. No entry after. No exceptions.

Saturday Morning:
6:30am Gate opens. Use the first gate (look for the NHKA sign.) Do not park on the street in front of the track if you are early.
8:15am Mandatory drivers meeting. All drivers AND guests must attend.
8:45am Kid Kart practice
9am Group practice starts

We will combine classes for practice to maximize track time for everyone.

4 206 Junior

Important Reminders
Please take your trash, used tires, and fuel cans home with you. Please leave your pit area as clean as you found it.

Friday Night Campers: No open fires. Quiet time is 10pm.

No open alcohol by anyone at any time during the day Saturday when the track is officially in use.

Bring some bug repellant. We are told that the bugs and ticks were out in force last weekend. Mostly in the infield areas of the track. The property manager will make an attempt to spray, but bring your repellent.

The day will be busy and challenging. We will do our best to get it all in. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone and starting the new season.
