Thursday, June 3rd, 2010Sugar Hill Speedway has cancelled the Granite State Kart Champoinship event scheduled for Sunday June 6th.
The track will be closed until further notice due to unforeseen events.
See you at NH Motor Speedway on Saturday.
WOW!! Great weather & great racing at NHKA/GSKC kick off.
Monday, May 10th, 2010We got some great weather for a change at the inaugural race of the Granite State Kart Championship NHKA hosted on a challenging temp course in the S4 lot at NHMS. The day included baby karts, 4-cycle and piston port, as well as junior, senior and masters TaG with good tight racing in all classes. A lot of divers and crews stayed and helped break down the track, which was much appreciated. Thank you! I’m working on a food vendor for the next race June 5th. I hope to see you all there.
Letter from the President
Wednesday, April 28th, 2010I would like to thank everyone who stepped up to keep the April race on the schedule. Getting rained out was all the more disappointing knowing it was the membership who made it happen. This was your race. Even though Mother Nature didn’t cooperate, you should be proud of pulling this event together.
Of course we all owe thanks to our sponsors whose generous support keeps road racing alive at NHMS:
Sue & Bruce Gray – WKA 125 Sprint Shifter 1, Dave Roma (In Memory of Arlene Roma) – Jr. 2 Cycle Sprint Lite, Bill Price of Bill Price Racing – 2 Cycle Sprint Heavy, Koji Kubota – WKA 125 Sprint Shifter 2, Michael Kavanangh – Spec 125 Sprint 1, Jim Slade – RotaxMax Sealed, Michael Camarra of CFMotorsports – Spec 125 Sprint 2, Paul Weckesser – CIK 125 Sprint Shifter 1.
In a final note on the April race, refunds have been mailed out. If you haven’t received yours or have any questions, please give me a call at 617-448-0916.
For road racing, the Kart Fest weekend on October 16-17, 2010 will be here before we know it. And an additional date on the long track is a frequent topic of conversation with NHMS… I’ll let you know as soon as I know if we can make it happen.
But in the meantime, we have six dates locked in for the 12-race Granite State Kart Championship. Rain or shine, we will host three sprint races on a temporary track, and three more up on The Hill. The first date is this Saturday, May 1st. We are expecting a great turnout. I hope all of you will join the fun.
