Dog-Gone!
Canaan Practice Day Postponed to April 28th

Flatlanders might not realize it, but Northern New England has a fifth season: Mud Season. We’ve been talking with Dave, the track manager at Canaan. He’s confident all the snow will be gone by the third week of April, however, the mud has him concerned about parking in the grassy paddock and off-track excursions. He has offered the NHKA the option of postponing a week, to April 28th. We’re taking hime up on it to greatly increase our chances of getting in day of practice.

But take Fridy’s snow and freezing temperatures as a warning, when it comes to weather in New England, there are no guarantees. So cross your fingers, light a candle and say a prayer to the racing gods. Maybe, just maybe, we’ll get on-track April 28th. Stay tuned!
