GSKC 2011 Membership & Sponsor Forms

Thursday, February 17th, 2011

The 2011 GSKC 2011 Membership & Sponsor Forms are now available.

Being a Granite State Kart Championship member entitles you to earn championship points. Membership fees will be used for year-end awards, special events and to support the racing you love.

Granite State Kart Championship’s first year featured big fields and terrific racing. And every event brought new faces to the track. The momentum is there for continued growth in 2011, and we want you to be part of it!

Are you a kart shop looking for ready-made audience and venue for growth? Do you have some other business you’d like to promote to a loyal audience? Or do you just love karting? Choose the level of sponsorship that makes sense for you and join the fun.  The 2011 Sponsorship Application is now available on our Forms page.

LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Tuesday, November 9th, 2010

I want to thank everyone who made the first season of the Granite State Kart Championship such a success. I mean all the racers, all the people who helped us tear down the track after a long day of racing, and the many folks in the background who gave of their time to make it all come together.

The number of racers we had all season long exceeded even our high hopes.

Having nearly thirty karts on the track at the same time is something not seen in the Northeast in quite some time. We had 21 karts in the TaG Masters class alone at Kart Fest; that’s only two shy of what they drew at the Rock Island Grand Prix a huge national event. And it is significantly more than seen at many of the major national series. More racers means more fun for everyone!

Clearly, you people love your karting! So we are already moving forward with bringing you more of the same next season. We have 6 dates locked down at NHMS. We are also trying to get two-four more dates either at NHMS or elsewhere.

This past year was just the start, and thanks to you it was a big success.

Stay tuned… we’re working hard to make next season even better.

Letter from the President

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

I would like to thank everyone who stepped up to keep the April race on the schedule. Getting rained out was all the more disappointing knowing it was the membership who made it happen. This was your race. Even though Mother Nature didn’t cooperate, you should be proud of pulling this event together.

Of course we all owe thanks to our sponsors whose generous support keeps road racing alive at NHMS:

Sue & Bruce Gray – WKA 125 Sprint Shifter 1, Dave Roma (In Memory of Arlene Roma) – Jr. 2 Cycle Sprint Lite, Bill Price of Bill Price Racing – 2 Cycle Sprint Heavy, Koji Kubota – WKA 125 Sprint Shifter 2, Michael Kavanangh – Spec 125 Sprint 1, Jim Slade – RotaxMax Sealed, Michael Camarra of CFMotorsports – Spec 125 Sprint 2, Paul Weckesser – CIK 125 Sprint Shifter 1.

In a final note on the April race, refunds have been mailed out. If you haven’t received yours or have any questions, please give me a call at 617-448-0916.

For road racing, the Kart Fest weekend on October 16-17, 2010 will be here before we know it. And an additional date on the long track is a frequent topic of conversation with NHMS… I’ll let you know as soon as I know if we can make it happen.

But in the meantime, we have six dates locked in for the 12-race Granite State Kart Championship. Rain or shine, we will host three sprint races on a temporary track, and three more up on The Hill. The first date is this Saturday, May 1st. We are expecting a great turnout. I hope all of you will join the fun.
