The final pieces of the 2012 schedule have fallen into place for the NHKA Racing Series driven by Checkered Flag Indoor Karting. We will have three 2-day events making a total of ten points races, plus a non-points enduro – all at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
May 12 / Race 1: Season opener on the S3 Lot temp track
June 2 / Race 2: The inaugural race on the newly expanded Hill Course
June 23 / Race 3: On the expanded Hill Course
July 28-29 / Race 4&5: Now a 2-day event on the S3 Lot
The circle track karters (who paid for the paving that made the expanded Hill Course possible) are holding a major national race. It will be a one of the biggest karting weekends ever at NHMS with a huge party Saturday night. Stay tuned for more on this exciting event.
Aug 18-19 / Race 6&7: On the S3 Lot – now a 2-day event
Sept 15 / Race 8: On the expanded Hill Course
Sept 29 / Race 9: On the expanded Hill Course
Oct 6-7 / KartFest!: Now a 2-day event Race 10 series finale on Saturday, enduro on Sunday
At the annual meeting, you told us you wanted ten races and we heard you. (But remember, you always have a drop-race if life gets in the way of your racing.) We are still very much in contact with Canaan Fair Speedway and another major racing facility. We’re optimistic about these two new venues for 2013. In the short term, we’re still hoping to be able to offer open tests if enough racers are interested.
